Rafinha has admitted he considered leaving Barcelona on multiple occasions before returning to prominence this season.
Barcelona forward Rafinha has admitted he considered leaving the club several times. After suffering injuries and an ill-fated career with the Blaugrana. But has returned to prominence this season, ESPN reported on Friday UFABET
‘There were times, not just one (when I thought about leaving Barca),’ Rafinha said ahead of Saturday’s trip to Real Madrid.
‘The first six months I was here, from the summer window until the World Cup, was a season where I didn’t start very well, so I thought about leaving the club.’
‘I don’t have much self-confidence. I have a bad habit of being very self-critical, so the pressure made me think about leaving the team.’
Rafinha has also faced rumours about Barca fans buying club shirts bearing his number but with Nico Williams’ name amid reports the Blaugrana are trying to sign him from Athletic Bilbao, but the 27-year-old has responded well, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
‘Football is not fun without pressure. Football has to have some pressure,’ Rafinha said. ‘I’ve always dreamed of playing for big clubs, playing big games for the national team, and you can’t make those dreams come true without pressure. That pressure comes with it.’
‘Thank God I didn’t let myself get carried away by those thoughts, which of course they would have. I just focused on working hard and adapting to the new role I had to play on the pitch.’
